Apple Crisp

1/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup rolled oats or unsweetened granola

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

6 large Stemilt Pink Lady or Braeburn apples,
peeled and chopped

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly coat a 9-by-9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. 2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, butter, rolled oats, salt and nutmeg. 3. In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; pour into the baking pan. Cover evenly with topping, pressing it firmly onto apples. 4. Bake for 35 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream. Makes 6-8 servings. Brands may vary by region; substitute a similar product.
